"I love watching you"
The Street is a level in the game IMSCARED. It is the third location of the game and is a very short level. This area follows the Car Park and precedes the basement.
Appearance[]
The Street is what its name says, a street. The street consists of a wide black road with several white lines on it. Both sides of the road have a light grey sidewalk. Beyond the sidewalks are a collection of several white pillars with paintings (or real beings) of what appears to be a bloodied version of the puppet from the Station level, along with a fence to keep the player from leaving. Going down the road takes you to a gate with the words "ONE OF THEM IS LYING" written in blood on the floor behind the gate.
Behind the player is the elevator that leads into the Car Park. The player is unable to use the elevator, even after getting the true ending of the game (you can explore most locations in daytime after the true ending), unless playing the 2022 update.
Walkthrough[]
After going through the elevator, keep walking straight. White Face will appear and laugh at you as he swiftly floats to the other side of the screen, but don't worry, he won't chase you. Once you go forward and reach the gate, turn around and follow the trail of blood until you reach the area behind one of the paintings. Grab the key and return to the gate. Use the key to unlock it and go through the door. This should take you to the basement in order to get the first fake ending.
After completing the game[]

If you're playing on the 2022 update and complete the game and get the "Loneliness" achievement, go back to the street. You will see a black figure far away out of bounds to the left (if you're looking towards the Car Park elevator). There should be a new file in the Imscared folder called "drift.txt". Use this file to get out of bounds. Walk all the way to the black figure in the distance to meet the Restorer. From there, follow whatever she advises you to do.
If you're playing on the 2022 Update, you can go to the Car Park during the day, which was impossible to do previously, but an unused map still existed in the files.
Trivia[]
- In the Steam release of the game, attempting to open the locked gate without the key will open your browser and play a video on Youtube called "How to play Imscared [1/3]". This could act as a subtle insult to the player, who doesn't know how to open locked gates.
- The youtube channel also has a 2nd part which the game doesn't open. The 3rd part likely doesn't exist (or unlisted, but the game just doesn't give you a link).
- It will also still attempt to open your browser, even if you don't have an internet connection. This might be an oversight, since the code for the level tells it to only open the browser if the user has a connection.
- Occasionally, the floor and ground will turn black for a second, except for the blood trail. This is a timed event, so if you wait long enough, it will repeat.
- In the original 2012 release, the bloodied puppets on the pillars are upside-down.
- In the original 2012 release, all of the pillars have a small gap without collision, which makes it possible to "enter" pillars through it. Pillars are empty inside.
- The "drift.txt" file mistakenly refers the Y axis as the Z axis, since vertical position (3D) of objects is determined by the Z axis in the game, not the Y axis.
